Domestic Violence has been on the increase. It is something society doesn't like to talk about however we need to make it known. The more we speak about our experiences the more we can collaborate on solutions.

Recently I was interviewed on a podcast, I share a personal story of how I was impacted from Domestic Violence. In it I discuss steps on how you can stop this cycle in your life. Honestly I am proud of how far I have come, to be able to share this message and many others of my healing journey. When listening to this interview I was happy it came across in a powerful way. If I can offer encouragement to one person. My pain and past is worth it. There are resources listed below the podcast if you need help today. Please help spread the news by listening and sharing this podcast interview with others.

Here is some data on domestic violence. I found this information on the National Collation against Domestic Violence's website https://ncadv.org/statistics:

"1 in 4 women and 1 in 9 men experience severe intimate partner physical violence, intimate partner contact sexual violence, and/or intimate partner stalking with impacts such as injury, fearfulness, post-traumatic stress disorder, use of victim services, contraction of sexually transmitted diseases, etc.2

1 in 3 women and 1 in 4 men have experienced some form of physical violence by an intimate partner. This includes a range of behaviors (e.g. slapping, shoving, pushing) and in some cases might not be considered "domestic violence."

1 in 7 women and 1 in 25 men have been injured by an intimate partner.

1 in 10 women have been raped by an intimate partner. Data is unavailable on male victims"
